Frequently Asked Questions

When do you see clients?
I see clients Monday - Thursday between 10am and 6pm.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes — I'm on Blue Cross/Blue Shield (Regence), PacificSource, Moda, and Aetna insurance panels. I strongly encourage contacting your insurance company before our first meeting to understand your mental health benefits, since final coverage decisions are made by your insurer.

What if I have different insurance that you are not in network with?
If you have out of network coverage, I can bill to any insurance provider. If you do not have out of network coverage, you can pay out of pocket.

What should I know before using insurance for therapy?
A few things worth considering: a mental health diagnosis is required to bill insurance and will be part of your medical record; you may need to meet your deductible first; and your insurer may limit the number of covered sessions.

Do you offer telehealth?
I primarily offer in person sessions. I find that being in the room together is much more fruitful. However, I do offer telehealth sessions when necessary (i.e. illness, periodic childcare issues, etc.)

Do you offer a free phone consultation?
Yes. I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation which can help you and I get a sense of whether or not we might be a good fit for each other. Contact me and we’ll get one scheduled.

What happens in a first session?
I will review some policies and procedures with you at the beginning of the session. The majority of the session will be spent with you sharing with me what is bringing you to therapy and helping me get to know you. We’ll also discuss together what you are hoping will be different in your life if therapy were to be helpful.

How do I access the client portal?
Current clients can access the Secure Client Portal here.
